Mother Daughter Seminar Series

Pediatric Specialists of Nashville and Amy Johnson, MPAS, PA-C, CLC are proud to announce we now offer Mother Daughter Seminars for parents and their young daughters growing into adolescence. The Mother Daughter Seminar Series are classes that allow parents and their daughters to meet and converse openly in a small group setting guided by Amy Johnson, MPAS, PA-C, CLC. The series is made up of three sessions, each one-hour long, designed to help parents and their daughters prepare for adolescence and become familiar with what to expect during those formative years. Some topics covered are; Menstruation, STD & pregnancy prevention, feminine hygiene, and more. We believe very strongly that educating young women about their health is essential for them to make the best decisions concerning their health. The Mother Daughter Seminar Series is a vehicle to provide evidence-based education, anticipatory guidance and preventative care to young women outside of the sometimes intimidating doctor’s office. Classes are free and great for parents who may be anxious about their daughters growing into adolescence.
